Mar Vista Community Fall Festival 2010 Scheduled for Saturday October 16!

We are pleased to announce the 2010 Mar Vista Community Fall Festival will take place on Saturday, October 16, 2010 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Mar Vista Park. 

The Festival promises fun for the entire family, including live stage entertainment, an adult and student art show, giant slides and bouncers, games, silent auction, food, arts and crafts, face painting, lots of health oriented information booths and demonstrations, and much, much more!

To help make the Festival, which has been a tradition in Mar Vista for years, a success, The planning committee for "Healthy Living!" is seeking financial support for this event.  We are asking community members and businesses to make a tax deductible donation. Proceeds will support the Festival and Mar Vista Park facilities. 

As part of our theme this year, our goal is to get information on healthy living opportunities out to the community. Organizations that have exercise, nutrition, conditioning and sports competition as their mission can rent a 10' x 10' tent are available for $50 each for non-profit groups, $100 for for-profit individuals/organizations and $200 for commercial entities. We will also consider featuring community groups that do not necessarily have a health mission, on a case by case basis. Each booth rental includes a tent, table, and two chairs. If you are interested in obtaining a booth, please pick up an application in the Park Office or call us and we will send one to you.

Finally, we are seeking items from local artisans and businesses for a silent auction. If you can contribute a gift basket, gift item, or gift card (valued at $25 or more) it will be appreciated.
