Since 2006, The Mar Vista Community Council has funded Streetscape Improvements, encouraged growth of our Farmers’ Market and promoted interest in our commercial corridor.This has driven a renaissance on Venice Blvd between Centinela and Inglewood during the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression.The list at 18 and counting: Venice Grind Coffee Shop; Venice Market [coming]; Mechie Children’s shop; Floyds Barber Shop; Wellness Baby Center; Curious Palate restaurant; Lighthouse Stained Glass; New Retail Live/Work Space next to Library; Time Warp Music expansion; LA Brakeless; Bikerowave; Earl's Gourmet Grub [opening soon]; Grand View Market [coming]; Louie's Restaurant [proposed]; El Agave Mexican Restaurant; Soaptopia; A Kids Place; updated 7-11.
